Biography and Works

Stephen is a native Virginian who works in finance and accounting and has his CPA license.  Ever since he was a little boy, Stephen was fascinated by airplanes. His father, a retired high school art teacher, got Stephen started in art.  After gradutating college with a business degree, Stephen joined the Marine Corps and was commissioned a 2ndLt.  The Marines gave him the opportunity to become a Marine aviator, and in November of 1998, Stephen earned his wings of gold and went on to fly CH-46E helicopters.  After leaving the Marine Corps in 2005, Stephen earned an MBA from George Mason University and entered the world of finance and accounting, working in the areas of tax and attestation before going in-house.  In 2011, Stephen discovered the ASAA and joined as an Associate member.  His paintings really took off (no pun intended) due to the wonderful guidance and mentoring of the members of the ASAA. Stephen eventually was accepted as an Artist member and served as Secretary.  He now holds the title of Artist Fellow, and serves as the Membership Committee Chair.

Stephen currently works as the Director of Finance and Administration for a private school in Northern Virginia, which he is fortunate to have his sons attend.

Stephen's works can be seen in squadron spaces, private collections, and the Naval Aviation Museum.
