Don is a retired art educator, artist member of the ASAA and Editor of ASAA's Aero Brush and Aero Brief . A graduate of the College of NJ, B.A. Art Education, and Rutgers University, M.A. Studio Art, Don has been an art educator in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District for 29 years. He taught art studio and art history courses at BRRSD and art history at Raritan Valley College. Don is honorably discharged from the US Army Security Agency having served during the Vietnam Campaign.
Don served as the first ASAA Scholarship Chairman. His artistic versatility ranges from drawing to sculpture with a specific interest in aviation subject matter. A lifelong interest in aircraft and their design, Don’s expression of aircraft, aviators, and environment is expressed through the oil medium. Don credits his mentor, Keith Ferris, for having the most significant impact on his artistic academic training.
