After graduating from Auburn University with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and studying for a Master’s in History of technology, David Flynt entered active duty as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. While on active duty, Flynt served as an engineer at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, working on advanced crew escape concepts for hypersonic vehicles such as the National AeroSpace Plane. After leaving the Air Force, Flynt attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and graduated cum laude with a BS in Industrial Design. Currently, Flynt is an experience designer in the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division of Microsoft. Since 1999 Flynt has been painting significant moments in aerospace history, with a focus on spaceflight. His work has been exhibited nationally and received numerous awards.
