Crissie received her BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art, with additional studies at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Harvard. When not at home in the studio, Crissie can be found travelling, filling the sketchbooks which have provided endless source material for her paintings

Her original oils, watercolours, and graphics in various media combine the spontaneous narrative of sketchbooks with the finish and textural interest of studio work ." - Boston Globe Magazine Her eye for detail and ability to capture the moment has served her well: in 2006, Crissie was chosen to participate in the prestigious US Air Force Art Program. At the request of the Pentagon she has documented operations overseas and at home, most recently deploying to Haiti and Guantanamo Bay shortly after the earthquake to document relief efforts. A recent recipient of the ASAA Founder's Recognition Award for her work depicting Special Operations Forces, her paintings currently hang in the Pentagon, and are permanent additions to the USAF Collection. Her paintings have been featured in the Air Force 60th Anniversary Exhibition, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the National Museum of the USAF and various other museums and galleries across the country.
